Tekashi 6ix9ine is once again reigniting his long-running feud with Jim Jones, this time taking aim at how the Dipset rapper treated Jamel “Mel Murda” Jones after his release from prison.
Mel Murda, also known as Mel Matrix, walked free last month after serving roughly six years behind bars on racketeering charges tied to the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods. He was arrested in 2018 alongside 6ix9ine and other alleged gang members during the high-profile RICO case in which 6ix9ine notoriously testified for the prosecution.
During a recent appearance on the One Night With Steiny podcast alongside Charleston White, the “GUMMO” rapper accused Jim Jones of failing to properly support Mel Murda upon his return home. According to 6ix9ine, Jones picked up the veteran Blood member at a train station instead of greeting him directly at the prison gates.
“One of the grandfathers of Nine Trey Bloods just came home,” 6ix9ine said. “Jim met him at a train station with no money, no chain. He gave him a little chain two days later. He made him take the Metro North with a garbage bag after doing six years.”
The Brooklyn artist went on to argue that loyalty in the streets often goes unrewarded, suggesting Mel Murda was not compensated for his sacrifices. “When you’re real and you take your time, your homies pick you up and make you take the train. Ain’t no rewards,” he added, even urging Mel Murda to disclose how much money he actually has in his bank account.
6ix9ine’s latest jabs come as he faces his own mounting legal troubles. Earlier this week, he admitted to violating probation for the third time after allegedly assaulting a man who called him a snitch. He also pleaded guilty earlier this year to two counts of drug possession following a raid on his Florida home.
