Drake Teases New Album ‘Iceman’ on UK Tour

Drake confirms his next album, Iceman, is on the way. Get the scoop on his new single "What'd I Miss," his chart-topping records, and his bold claims about London's rap scene.

Word on the street is that Drake is gearing up to unleash a whole new project, and he just let the name slip during his sold-out show in Birmingham, England. Get ready, because Drizzy confirmed it: the next album is titled Iceman. He even told the screaming crowd, “I’m working on my album, Iceman, we got a lot to talk about.” You know that means he’s got some things to get off his chest, especially after that whole back-and-forth with Kendrick Lamar.

This announcement comes hot on the heels of his lead single, “What’d I Miss,” which dropped earlier this month and shot straight to No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. The track proved Drake’s still got that chart power, even with all the noise. Speaking of chart power, “What’d I Miss” pushing to No. 2 officially gave Drake 81 Hot 100 Top 10 hits – that’s the most in the chart’s 67-year history! The boy’s a record breaker.

The Shot at Alex Warren and the London Love

Just days before the Iceman reveal, Drake even took some shots on social media at Alex Warren after Warren’s single “Ordinary” blocked “What Did I Miss?” from the top spot. Drizzy posted on IG, “Suppressor on the 1 spot. I’m taking that soon —don’t worry, one song or another…rule changes and all.” You know he’s always competitive, ready to reclaim his spot at the top.

“What’d I Miss?” dropped right before Drake’s three-day headlining run at the 2025 Wireless Festival in the U.K. And during one of his sets, he pulled out all the stops, bringing out some serious London talent like Skepta, Central Cee, and Dave. But the real moment that got the internet buzzing was his bold statement about London emcees. He told the crowd, “Nobody can out-rap London — nobody. No disrespect to America. No disrespect to my country. But, nobody can out-rap London rappers. This is the best, this is the highest level. This is what I aspire to be.” That’s a huge co-sign, especially amidst all the debates about American vs. British rap scenes.

So, with Iceman on the way and Drake still making waves with every move, what are you expecting from this new project? Is he about to drop a classic, or is he just trying to stir the pot? Let us know what you’re thinking.
